Charlotte, NC., -- Representing the second product to be released under the new home entertainment partnership, NASCAR Images and Shoreline Media Group (SMG) today unveiled production and distribution plans for NASCAR's Road to Daytona 2003, a newly-created documentary targeted for the rapidly expanding home entertainment market. An officially licensed product of NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway, Road to Daytona 2003 follows the highly successfully launch of NASCAR Winston Cup 2002 Year In Review, NASCAR's first ever DVD home video release.

Long-considered one of the icon events in the world of motorsports, the annual "Great American Race" is set to run this weekend at the historic 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway located in Daytona, Florida. The official kick-off to the 36-race NASCAR Winston Cup season, the Daytona 500 caps off a week-long schedule of qualifying and racing events that attract over 600,000 enthusiastic fans - with millions more expected to watch the event this Sunday on Fox television network.

An officially licensed NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway product, Road to Daytona 2003 will chronicle the passion and intensity of the start of NASCAR's 2003 season from pre-season testing through the race's final lap. The new release, which will be completed for shipping in early March, will be available in limited quantity as either a high-quality VHS video or 90-minute DVD. The collector's edition DVD will also feature bonus material such as exclusive driver videos, Victory Lane Un-Cut and a special music video featuring Island Recording artist Saliva.

NASCAR Images' production team promises viewers an insightful and comprehensive journey behind the scenes at Daytona via the highest quality of documentary-style production values. In addition to race coverage, the new video will also feature highlights from the Bud Shootout, the Twin 125s and qualifying events.
